Antheleia, one of the 50 Danaïdes (also Danaides or Danaids) - daughters of Danaus.
Our interpretation of this name, accepts its composition by the words "ἀντί" (opposite) + "ἥλιος" (sun).
Thus, the subject of the artwork is a figure standing before the moon, which in its turn is opposite of the sun, reflecting its light.
